  • EB-1 category visas: Certain immigrants who are aliens of extraordinary ability in their field, outstanding professors or researchers, or multinational executives, may be able to apply for permanent residence without the requirement of a labor certification. These are different from O-1 visas in that they are for permanent residency.
  • EB-2 category visas: For foreign national professionals with an advanced degree (typically PhD equivalent) with a job offer from a U.S. company or who can demonstrate that their work efforts in the U.S. will substantially benefit U.S. economic or government interests
  • EB-3 category visas: For workers with a U.S. bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree and with a job offer from a U.S. company or for skilled workers requiring a minimum of two years of vocational technical training. Eb-3(c) visas may be available for skilled workers who demonstrate less than two years of technical training in their job skill.
